Guest Newsletter Spotlight!

I have many brilliant friends. And, I love to feature their brilliance so we can all thrive from it.

At the beginning of the year, I featured Jason Saldana's firm's brilliance. Jason's firm, Copa Designs, puts out a gorgeous annual Graphic Design Trends publication. Here's the newsletter.

Around Valentine's Day, I shared The Surprising Truth About LinkedIn Leads, from Justin Vajko. email me and I can resend.

Today's Guest is the talented, irreverent copywriter, author and fellow ProVisor, Judi Harrington.

Enjoy!

Why LinkedIn Newsletters Deserve a Spot in Your Strategy

We’ve all heard the golden rule of marketing: Own your list. Build your own email subscriber base. Don’t rely on platforms that can change their algorithm on a whim.

While that advice isn’t wrong, let’s be honest—building that private list is a grind.

You’ve got to dream up the perfect lead magnet. Build a landing page. Write the nurture sequence emails. Post about it everywhere. Cross your fingers that people bite.

Meanwhile, you’ve already got something incredibly valuable right under your nose—your LinkedIn connections.

You’ve been building that network for years. People who know you, respect your expertise, and are a click away from becoming your biggest fans. So… why not talk to them where they already are?

That’s the magic of LinkedIn newsletters. They don’t just sit on your profile—they land directly in your audience’s email inbox. Just like your private list would. But without all the heavy lifting of list-building from scratch.

Take my client, Gina Abudi, for example.

Gina came to me wanting to launch a LinkedIn newsletter about change management—but with one rule: “I don’t want this to be dry.” Through copy coaching and bi-weekly writing sessions, we worked together to make her content feel less like a white paper and more like a coffee chat.

Now, just a few months in, she’s approaching 1,000 subscribers.

Her newsletter is anything but corporate blah-blah. It’s full of real stories, leadership insights, family moments, and the occasional adorable dog pic. It’s fun. It’s human. And it works.

So if you’ve been sitting on a great idea for a newsletter but don’t know where to start—or you’re stuck trying to DIY your way through it—I can help.

Book a clarity call to get the conversation started. I offer both Done For You and Done With You solutions to help get your content out in the world in a way that feels authentic, strategic, and totally doable.

Let’s build something your audience can’t wait to read.
